Clovis Ochin (1.5 L) 2023 'Ludo' Xarel-lo, Penedes

Made from 100% Xarel-lo sourced from vineyards approaching 80 years of age in Penedès, this wine captures the depth, texture, and natural freshness that have made the variety a cornerstone of Catalunya's wine culture. The old vines produce fruit of remarkable concentration while maintaining balance and energy.

The grapes undergo whole cluster fermentation with seven days of maceration before being transferred to glass dame-jeannes for aging. A portion of the juice is retained in tank and used for weekly topping, protecting the wine naturally from oxidation throughout élevage. Bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur, the wine offers a pure and unfiltered expression of old vine Xarel-lo and the unique character of Penedès.
