Just like the great estates of the Old World, the Varner brothers produce a second label Foxglove for everyday drinking. Beginning with their first vintage in 1991, Bob Varner sources the grapes from a variety of places, all of which are along the Central Coast. Mild winters, cool, foggy summers, and clay-loam soils produce a combination of flavors that have been described as "textbook Central Coast." The three wines are unoaked to preserve freshness of each variety. They are produced in steel tanks, which showcases a different minimalism approach.
