Crafted at the height of peach season, Day Trip Peach Amaro captures the fleeting beauty of ripe fruit with elegance and restraint. Made from 1,000 lbs. of lightly blemished “seconds” peaches from Briermere Farms, this amaro begins as a peach wine that is produced by boiling the fruit, fermenting the juice with champagne yeast, and fortifying it with a distillate of fresh peach leaves.

The peach leaf distillate is the centerpiece of this expression. Recently approved for use in spirits, the leaves are gently crushed by hand and macerate in alcohol before being distilled into a remarkable spirit that evokes a deep, marzipan-like aromatic. It is joined by an elderflower distillate—made from blossoms growing alongside the peach trees—adding lift and floral brightness.

Quassia, rose petals, and pink peppercorn bring contrast and depth. A touch of sugar syrup softens the structure without tipping it into sweetness.
