3 Fonteinen Druifs are macerations of grape must and/or the co-fermentation of grape juice or wine with traditional lambic. There are no additions of juices, syrups or artificial sweeteners. The beer is bottled unfiltered and unpasteurized.
This Druif features the Muscaris variety, a crossing between Solaris and Muskateller. This rather young white grape variety originates from the Freiburg region in Germany and combines an intense muscat bouquet with a higher sugar density than other Muscat varieties (especially when harvested slightly late).
100% 3 Fonteinen brewed lambic. 3 Fonteinen put the grape must with 15-months old lambik in small oak foeder. Then, the lambics that they used for blending were a 3-year old lambic and makes up more than 10% of the total volume. The final fruit intensity is 469 grams of Muscaris grapes per liter.
