The Cuvée Armand & Gaston is a tribute to founders of 3 Fonteinen. These gueuzes are composed entirely of lambics brewed exclusively by 3 Fonteinen. Furthermore, even older lambics (up to eight years old!) and the proportion of such old lambics is much higher than in the regular 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze, resulting in a deeper, more complex taste experience.
3 Fonteinen Cuvée Armand & Gaston is spontaneously fermented, matured in oak barrels, and then sees extended bottle aging and refermentation in bottle. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized.
All grains used in these brews come from the Pajottenland and their Cereal Collective . 36% of the grains are heritage land varieties. Just under half of the blend consists of young lambic, the rest of the blend is composed of old lambics. The weighted average age of the hops is more than 22 years.
