Domaine Milan 2019 'Le Clos Milan' Rouge, Vin de France (Provence)

Vineyard Notes: Planted in 2010, the vines are young yet they have a deep depth of character with a bright, racy acidity and energy. The parcel is mostly limestone and sand, which is the perfect soil to assist with the maturity of the vines for these two grapes, offering fruit that is complex, spicy juicy. This parcel is Henri’s favorite so you will find rose bushes everywhere, a totem for energy, and he has even built his house right next to it. The wine is called Le Clos because the parcel is surrounded by a garrrigue wall.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are whole cluster macerated for 3 days in concrete tank. They are then pressed, fermented, and rested in tank for two months before being moved to 228 litre neutral oak barrels for one year.
