About the Wine: This is Swick's flagship wine, and it changes every year depending on the vintage. The only consistency is that Pinot Noir is always the majority. The 2021 vintage brought some amazing and complex Pinot Noir from the top-notch Finnigan Hill Vineyard (certified organic). Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre are from the Conley Vineyard (certified organic). Touriga Nacional is from the Wilridge Vineyard (biodynamic), and the Gewurztraminer comes from Lacewig Vineyard (practicing organic).
Winemaking Notes: All the varieties fermented spontaneously with native yeast and were blended before bottling. The only additive to this wine was a limited amount of sulfites at the time of bottling.
Tasting Notes: Syrah brings the smoky leather. The Touriga Nacional brings the dark cherry. The Gewurztraminer adds floral aromatics. This is a delicious wine with a warm bowl of beef bourguignon.
