Diamond Wine Importers
Founded in 1992 by Ted Diamantis, Diamond Wine Importers was born from the belief that Greece, with its mountain vineyards, maritime-influenced climate, volcanic and alluvial soils, and more than 200 indigenous grape varieties, has the potential to once again stand among the world’s great wine-producing nations.
A 1st generation Greek American born in Chicago, Diamantis launched the company with a pioneering focus on quality Greek wines, beginning with the then-revolutionary bottlings of Skouras in Nemea. Over more than three decades of tasting and travel throughout Greece, he has steadily built one of the most respected portfolios of Greek producers in the U.S. market.
Today, the portfolio is a carefully curated selection of artisan, terroir-driven estates working with native varieties from the country’s most compelling appellations. These are growers and winemakers deeply committed to quality and sustainability, from vine to bottle, and united by a shared dedication to preserving the spirit and heritage of Greek wine.
