Loca Linda, Jolie Folle, and Bella Pazza all translate loosely to “crazy beautiful” — inspired by an Argentine expression used to describe someone who is “crazy in a good way.” That joyful spirit of living fully and sharing generously sits at the heart of the brand.
Founded in 2008 by the Gallivan family, Crazy Beautiful Wines was born from travels to Argentina and a deep appreciation for wines meant to be enjoyed with friends, family, and plenty of laughter around the table. The project began with Loca Linda — the original Argentine label — and has since expanded to include thoughtfully sourced wines from France and Italy.
The wines are made in close collaboration with growers, farmers, and winemakers who share a commitment to sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking. The focus is on authenticity, drinkability, and honest expressions of place.
A defining feature of the portfolio is its signature one-liter format. Each bottle contains 33% more wine than the standard 750ml (roughly seven glasses instead of five) yet weighs less than most traditional bottles. The result? Extra pours for the table and less packaging waste. The large-format presentation underscores the brand’s emphasis on generosity, sustainability, and easygoing enjoyment.
