The Rums of Mexico (700 ml) Cana Criolla Rum, Oaxaca (103.8 proof)

Cultivated by Daniel Vega Santiago in the arid village of Zoquiapam Boca de Los Ríos, Oaxaca, this yellow-colored, hearty cane variety grows amongst columnar cactus and biznagas, and is irrigated from water drawn from the nearby Río Monteflor. It was distilled by local maestro Pedro Bautista on a handmade, wood-fired, four plate continuous copper still.
