Vineyard Notes: The Populis Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from 60+-80 year old vines from two different vineyards. In Mendocino, at the Larry Venturi vineyard, the organic, dry farmed vines were planted in 1940 on Pinole gravelly loam soils. In Redwood Valley, Jan and John Upton also farm their 60 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines organically.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes are whole cluster pressed. The fruit from each vineyard ferments separately in stainless steel tanks. The wine is racked off the gross lees and blended shortly after harvest.

Tasting Notes: This wine marries an oppulent and tropical California style with a funky savory herbaceousness one finds in Loire Valley Sauvignons. Loads of fruit and citrus on the nose and great texture and savory length on the palate. This is consistently a Cream staff favorite.
