Vintage Notes: The 2025 vintage, a testament to nature’s artistry, spoke of balance, patience, and the quiet resilience of the vine. The vintage began with spring rains soaking deep into the earth, waking the vines from their winter slumber. Springtime unfolded with steady, balanced weather that set the stage for a classic Sonoma Valley vintage. A cool, even spring ensured slow and healthy budbreak, followed by a warm to cool summer that allowed the vines to ripen at a measured pace without heat stress. Morning fogs and afternoon breezes moderated the valley floor, while consistent sunshine carried clusters to full flavor development. Harvest arrived under clear skies, with August and September marked by dry, stable conditions that let us pick at a steady pace so that each block achieved ideal ripeness. The result is a vintage defined by purity, freshness, and depth—a reflection of both the year’s measured climate and the character of our vineyard soils.

Vineyard Notes: A blend of Pinot Noir clones from Scribe's estate farmed vineyards on the west-facing slopes of Arrowhead Mountain.

Winemaking Notes: The hand-harvested clusters of Pinot Noir were lightlyfoot-tread ahead of pressing to allow the juice to have some skin contact. Once pressed, the juice was settled for 24-48 hours prior to racking to begin fermentation. The wine was fermented in stainless steel for 20-40 days. After arresting malolactic fermentation the wine was further aged on its gross lees for 4 months prior to bottling.
