Primary Botanicals: licorice root, mandarin peel, wormwood, rabarbaro, mint, china, seawater

Botanical Source: licorice root from Calabria, most others from Italy. Whisky: 100% malted barley from England, 3yrs old. (They will be working with an Italian producer soon.)

Finished ABV: 30%

Method of Production : all botanicals infused separately for approximately 10 days. Then added to tank containing water, seawater, sugar and whisky (@ 69.9% ABV). Rested 15 days then bottled.

Notes: The use of whisky as a base sets this amaro apart from others. It adds a luxurious textural element as well as a malty note, and the feeling of sweetness without sugar. Licorice root is the primary botanical on the palate, balanced by mild bitterness and a long finish. Ergin named his amaro ‘Blu’ for the time of night after dinner when you might consume it.
