Vineyard Notes: Grapes for this 100% Tempranillo are selected from five parcels of a 25ha certified organic vineyard on clay soils. The vineyards are located just east of Mérida, located near the banks of the Guadiana River. The proximity to the river creates a special microclimate with humidity that decreases the irrigation needs and favors the elaboration of wines with excellent quality. The vines are 18-50 years old and are planted at 486 feet above sea level.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are harvested by hand and 100% destemmed. Native yeast fermentation and and maceration in concrete tanks lasts for for around 10 days. The wine is further aged in stainless steel with the fine lees around 5 months after harvest, and is then bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with low to no SO2 at bottling (less than 25ppm).

Tasting Notes: The nose shows red fruit (strawberries, raspberries and cherries) and a touch of licorice. Silky on the palate, this Tempranillo has a bounce of freshness from the balanced acidity. It is the ideal companion for meat and cheese.
