Dido and Jurriaan are a Dutch couple who share many passions but most importantly, they both love wine. They've traveled across the world making wine, ultimately settling in the Alt Empordà subregion of Catalunya in Spain, where, through a crowdfunding campaign, they bought 10 hectares of planted vines in the natural reserve of Albera. They live amidst their vines where their home and winery are completely self sufficient using solar power and drawing water from their well.

For their estate project, Vinyes Tortuga, all of their work in the vineyard is done organically while their wines are made without additives in the cellar. 2018 marked their first vintage making wine from their own grapes, while continuing to focus on restoring the vineyards, converting them to biodynamics and grafting to other (white) varieties.

Fruita Analogica is a second label from Dido & Jurriaan. The winery they had at first rented space in, and later bought, had capacity for making more wine than they could produce with their estate grapes from Vinyes Tortuga, and thus Fruita Analogica was born. With this second label, they are embracing the vast potential of the old cooperative, sourcing grapes from like-minded organic growers to create vibrant, approachable natural wines. Both brands share the same philosophy: pure, unfiltered wines that are full of life. Wines that tell a story of place, music, and adventure.
