Clovis Ochin (1.5 L) 2023 'Sous Une Grappe De Bobal' Red, Valencia

Sourced from an old vineyard in Utiel-Requena, Valencia, this wine is made from 100% Bobal and reflects the purity and energy of one of Spain's most historic grape varieties. The vineyard was formerly farmed by Partida Creus and is planted to old vines that produce naturally concentrated fruit with freshness and balance.

The grapes are fermented whole cluster and macerated for seven days before being racked into glass dame-jeannes for aging. A portion of the juice is retained in tank and used for weekly topping, protecting the wine naturally from oxidation throughout élevage. Bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur, the wine offers an unadorned expression of old vine Bobal and the unique character of Utiel-Requena.
