Vineyard
100% Evergreen Vineyard. Planted in 1998 by Jerry Milbrandt, the vineyard sits along steep cliffs above the Columbia River in the Ancient Lakes region. The site benefits from a cooler climate due to the river’s influence. Soils are composed of fragmented basalt, gravel, silt, and caliche left behind by Ice Age floods. Like all Milbrandt vineyards, Evergreen is farmed using sustainable practices. The site consistently produces fruit with vibrant acidity and pronounced mineral character.

Vintage Notes
2024 was a challenging year for grapes in Washington State. An early and unusually harsh freeze at the end of the 2023 growing season caused significant damage in many vineyards. The Walla Walla Valley was hit especially hard, with nearly complete bud loss in some estate vineyards. Other regions initially looked bleak as well, but vines proved resilient. With the help of favorable conditions through the growing season, many sites recovered enough to produce quality fruit. While yields were lower than normal, the 2024 harvest delivered wines with impressive complexity, focus, and intensity. The wines are expressive and distinctive, reflecting a unique and memorable vintage.

Tasting Notes by Winemaker Charles Smith
Beautifully aromatic, silky, and delicious. Notes of white peach, guava, passionfruit, and lilac carry through to a fresh, long, satisfying finish.
