Vineyard Notes: Sourced largely (79%) from 100+-year-old Mourvèdre grown in the deep sands of Oakley, the wine also includes a bit of equally old Carignan from Evangelho Vineyard and a drop of perfumed Grenache from Bedrock Vineyard.
Tasting Notes: Pale salmon-pink in color and grapefruit-, white peach-, and tarragon-scented, the wine does what I love most about great rosé—it is both dense and satisfyingly mouth-filling while also having an almost ineffable buoyancy and lightness in its weighting. Complex but highly drinkable.
