Winemaking Notes: Skin contact for 4 hours. Whole cluster pressed. Fermented in 228-liter neutral French oak with native yeast, no SO2. No racking. Aged for 7 months in 228-liter Francois Freres LT 5th use barrels. No racking. Battonage once a week for 3 months. Moved to tank via gravity for 4 months prior to bottling. Unfined. Unfiltered.
Winemaker Note: “ Classically reductive, pith driven and mineral laden. Just starting to get into its stride, taught and complex. Length for days. A serious Chardonnay that shows the Chablis-like power that can be achieved in the NW.” - Maxx
Tasting Notes: A classic take on Chardonnay from Benzie County. Barrel fermented and barrel aged, then moved to tank for 6 months to create lots of minerality and reduction. Don't think this is your old school style, there's no butter or heavy oak, it's crisp, clean and oh-so delicious!
