That’s why Titus Vineyards created Andronicus Napa Red, a perfect red blend of the five Bordeaux varieties that together form a dynamic wine and mouthwatering value. Young vine fruit from Titus' estate vineyards forms the backbone of this vivacious wine. Bright, crisp Merlot from the Carneros Hills adds herbal cherry fruit notes and silky texture and Petite Verdot from the eastern foothills gives the wine a dark spice bite in the finish. It’s an ideal Napa Valley blend for both the wine connoisseur and novice alike.

Barrel Aging: 20 months

Vintage Notes: A long winter and spring notable for near record rainfall led to a later than usual bud break in the beginning of the growing season, sunny warm conditions during May soon had the vines starting bloom with near perfect conditions. Even temperatures throughout the summer provided the ideal conditions for the growing berries to develop flavor, retain acidity and build up phenolic characteristics. Veraison occurred in early August for most varieties, followed by some appropriate heat to help the fruit finish the season.

Tasting Notes: The Titus Andronicus red wine from 2023 over delivers with aromatics and flavor. The nose is full of ripe plum, blackberry compote, Bing cherry, cherry pie, and a subtle vermouth character. Cocoa nib, espresso, and oak notes complement the fruit characters. The palate is highly structured with velvety tannins and moderate acidity. The finish is smooth and with dark fruit flavors that linger on the palate.
