Tasting Notes: This wine has fantastic "Toscanity!" The Cabernet brings ripe fruit while the Sangiovese brings acid and tannin. San Pio is a hearty yet approachable red wine. It delivers a full offering of aromas that span from bright cherry fruit to exotic spice. There are some budding tertiary tones of cola and crushed mineral that add complexity. San Pio is a beautiful Super Tuscan that will taste great with a succulent cut of beef.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Sangiovese, the 2019 San Pio is softly layered with a velvety texture and plenty of dark fruit aromas of plum and blackcurrant. The wine shows medium structure and is approachable overall, especially if paired with a breaded veal steak or meatloaf. It ferments in cement with spontaneous yeasts and ages in French oak for 18 months.
