Vineyard Notes: Grapes are sourced from Gonzalez Bastias' 200-year-old dry farmed, horse plowed vineyard, planted in 1815, as well as a neighbor's vineyard planted in the early 1960s. The soil is composed of river sand on top of granite bedrock. The vineyard is located on the bank of the Maule River, about 40 kilometers from the coast.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are manually harvested. The fruit is pressed by hand over traditional bamboo zarandas into open top vats. The Moscatel and Torontel macerate on the skins for 60 days before the Pais juice is added. The three varieties are co-fermented with native yeasts. The wine then ages for 6 months in large, 100-year-old Rauli (native Chilean wood) barrels. No additives or sulfites are added. Wine is unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes: Peaches and orange peel with a juicy mouthfeel. Mineral with medium acidity and a long lasting finish. Best paired with spicy, sweet and sour, creamy, and sweet dishes.
