Terroir: Alsace is one of the planet’s greatest places to grow Riesling. Blanck's vines are located around the village of Kientzheim, at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. The vines are in organic conversion (Ecocert certification in 2022).

Winemaking Notes: The classic Paul Blanck Riesling is slowly and gently pressed to avoid crushing the stalks and pips. Fermentation occurs with natural yeast in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Fermentation generally lasts from 4 to 10 weeks. As the wine matures, the tiny particles in suspension gradually sink to the bottom of the vat and form a deposit, which contributes richness.

Tasting Notes: Lovely and complex aromatics: lemon, pineapple, elderflower, and apple. It is mineral with floral hints along with a citrus zest. Beautiful texture and structure create a lovely finish.

Pairing Notes: This dry Riesling is quite versatile with food. Enjoy it with white fish or salmon with rich sauces, grilled meat such as pork, sushi, prawns, and goat cheese. Baked cod with olive oil and lemon is an ideal pairing. It is also a pleasurable wine on its own.
