The Sirene Americano Bianco is a natural white aperitif that is produced in small batches by blending wines from the Lake Garda region with single botanical macerations. The Sirene Americano Bianco is made from a base wine of Trebbiano di Lugana (genetically identical to Verdicchio) and shows the variety’s distinctive freshness on the palate. Balanced between citrus, white flowers, and the bitterness of the gentian, the finish shows musk melon and woodsy spice. Enjoy the Sirene Americano on the rocks, in a spritz, white negroni or a corpse reviver #2.

Primary Botanicals: Lemon verbena, mint, bitter and sweet orange peel, nutmeg, lemongrass, gentiana lutea, chiretta
Botanical Source: Local herbs cultivated organically on Monte Baldo. Bitter and sweet orange come from Southern Italy. Nutmeg, chiretta and lemongrass are from Asia.
Production: Botanicals are infused individually in neutral grain spirit for 3 weeks with stirring every day. Infusions pressed and combined, then water and beet sugar are added. It is rested briefly and paper filtered before bottling. There are no artificial colors or flavorings.

What is Americano? Americano is a category of aperitif wines, defined by EU law, which derive its bitter flavor from gentian. The term originates from the Italian word ‘amaricante,’ meaning bittered. Vermouth, quinquina, and americano are closely related. Production is generally similar between all three categories, but the bittering botanicals differ. While vermouth's defining botanical is wormwood, quinquina is flavored by cinchona bark, and americano must use gentian.
