Winemaking Notes: Grapes are destemmed. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeast in 1,000-liter tinajas (clay amphorae). The skin maceration is long, around 9 months. The wine matures for another 3 months in amphorae. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with a small amount of sulfites added at bottling.

    Rating: 88 (4/23/2020)

There is an earthy sensation on the nose of the 2018 ?? Amphorae 100%, a Garnacha that goes back to the local tradition of wine in tinaja (amphora). It fermented and matured in tinaja with skins for nine months. It's ripe and rustic, with unusual aromas of flowers, pollen, cereals and something medicinal. The palate reveals dusty rusticity, a powdery texture and abundant grainy tannins. Better with food. 3,265 bottles and five magnums produced. It was bottled in October 2019.
