Osborne Very Old Rare Sherries are a treasure inherited from years and years of patience, devotion and hard work. The complexity and soul of these wines are unique and unparalleled. The solera of this wine was set in 1902 and has an average age of 30 years.

Winemaking Notes: The sun-dried Pedro Ximénez grapes are softly pressed, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24ºC/75ºF. Once the wine achieves 11%-12% vol., wine spirit is added up to 17% vol. The fortified wine is then transferred to 500-liter American oak casks, where it ages through the unique system of soleras, for an average of 30 years. The special microclimate in El Puerto de Santa María, where Osborne's winery is located, allows this oxidative aging process to occur smoothly, imprinting its marvelous personality on the wine.

Tasting Notes: Lusciously sweet, complex, and raisin-like. Deep and opaque mahogany color. Extremely intense and complex, shows profound aromas of raisins accompanied by honey, dates and almond notes. Deliciously sweet, dense and unctuous. Flavorful and elegant. Spicy and caramel notes build to a smoldering intensity that lingers on the palate seemingly forever. An incredibly unique wine.

The NV Venerable Pedro Ximenez is produced from sun-dried Pedro Ximenez grapes aged in a solera created in 1902 for an average of 30 years. It is dark, opaque mahogany color, and a distinct nose with a lactic and toasted note of toffee and cappuccino coffee that stands it apart from others. The wine is dense and concentrated, very sweet and low in acidity, with a long aftertaste of dark chocolate and dried figs. 1,500 bottles are drawn from the botas each year. Drink 2013-2015.
