About the Name: "Pour Ma Gueule" is a term commonly used by French vintners which translates to "for my gob" and usually refers to a stash of wine determined too good to sell to the public and reserved for the winemakers' personal consumption.

Vineyard Notes: Grapes are sourced from several small, low-yielding vineyards of bush vines on granite soils in the Itata Valley. The vineyards average 3 acres in size and 55 years in age. Farmed lutte raisonée .

Winemaking Notes: Grapes for each variety are harvested, vinified, aged separately, and then blended together before bottling. After a 10-day cold soak, the wine is made in concrete. It ages on the lees for 12 months and is bottled lightly filtered.

Tasting Notes: This blend from Itata has notes of tobacco, rose petals, mint, eucalyptus, and juicy red apple on the nose. The palate shows red fruits of raspberry, caramel apple, rhubarb, and strawberry to lead to a finish of dark chocolate and earl gray tea with medium tannin.

They have removed the Cariñena from the blend of the 2021 and therefore turned the 2021 Pour Ma Gueule Itata into a pure Itata wine produced with País and Cinsault from Guarilihue. It remains a gulpable and easy-to-drink red with 13.1% alcohol and a medium-bodied palate, balanced and clean. It was bottled after nine to 12 months in concrete with lees.
