Vineyard Notes: Grapes are from several vineyards located between the towns of Quart, Saint Christophe, and Chambave.
Winemaking Notes: While this wine is 100% Pinot Noir, 70% are from French lineage and 30% are of the rare Wadenzwil clone. The vineyards are at a high altitude and steep incline, allowing for the distinct alpine characteristics to show through. The fruit is 100% destemmed. Vinification occurs in wood casks with daily punch down for three days, followed by 10-12 days of settling. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeast. Wine is aged partly in steel and partly in oak. Wine is lightly filtered before bottling.
Tasting Notes: This 100% Pinot Noir is a shade of ruby red tending to garnet. Complex and persistent aromatics include hints of wild berries. On the palate, this wine is soft and dry with an approachable tannic structure.
