The 2021 Whole Lotta Rosé is mostly Grenache blended with a small amount of Syrah. The grapes come from Garnier Vineyard, which is located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge near the town of Mosier. The wine is made in the classic Provencal style; indeed 2021 might be the palest rosé Jay Somers has produced. The wine is light, dry, delicate, and delicious. It normally sells out fast in their tasting room, so we are thrilled to be able to bring in an allocated amount for the Illinois market.
Winemaker Notes: "I have been working with Tom Garnier and this super interesting vineyard site in the Columbia Gorge AVA near the town of Mosier since the early 2000s. If you ever had my rosé wines from my previous winery you know this vineyard well. We will be producing rosé again from the Syrah and Grenache as well as a Rosé of Tempranillo. For fun I am making a little Viognier in a 600-liter acacia barrel. We are looking forward to expanding our white wine program." - Jay Somers
