Winemaking Notes: Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is produced from Montepulciano grapes cultivated on young vines located in Atri and following the principles of organic farming. Grapes are manually harvested. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The must is kept in contact with the skins at a temperature of about 8-10 Celsius for 6-10 hours. Spontaneous fermentation occurs in stainless steel with native yeast. The wine ages in stainless steel for about 3 months. It is not fined or filtered. A low amount of SO2 is added.

Tasting Notes: Cirelli Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a deep red color with a pleasantly fruity bouquet. The flavor is fresh and sapid, well-bodied and persistent. It pairs perfectly with salami, soft cheeses, and light courses.

    The 2021 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo boasts a nearly neon pink color, as nuances of wild strawberry, sage and wet slate form its bouquet. Its smooth textures soothe the palate, as sweet spice gives way to a minty, herbal-tinged note and ripe red fruits. Residual acids and a sour burst of citrus keep the expression remarkably fresh, as the 2021 finishes with admirable length.
