Vineyard Notes: The grapes for this wine come from two well known Russian River Valley vineyards: the Skikos Vineyard (Clone 667) on Piner Road, and the Winkler Vineyard (Clone 23) north of the winery on Green Valley Road.

Vintage Notes: The 2018 season started slowly with little pressure from weather extremes, allowing for a long hang time developing ripeness and flavor. Temperate warm days and cooler nights enabled optimal maturity.

Winemaking Notes: Following a five-day cold soak, the grapes were yeasted and open-top tank fermented at cool temperatures. Multiple daily punch downs allowed for color and flavor extraction. The must was then pressed to French oak barrels (30% new) for 10 months.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of mocha and Bing cherry lead to fruit forward flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and plum. A wonderful balance of Russian River Valley fruit and integrated French oak flavors linger on the palate. The result is a very elegant and enjoyable example of Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley.
