Vineyard Notes: The Tinto Cosecha is made from Hermanos Pecina's youngest vines, La Veguilla and Valseca, which average 25 years in age. The grapes are destemmed, crushed and left to macerate for 3-4 days before fermentation begins naturally with wild yeast from the skins. Fermentation then continues for 10-12 days. Wine is aged in stainless steel with racking to another tank every 3 months. There is no oak aging. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: The wine is a bright garnet red with good depth of color and clarity. Fruity aromas of plums, blackberries and black fruits shine on the nose. Balsamic notes and fruity nuances show on the palate. There is great acidity and freshness.

"This is an entry-level bottle from one of my favorite Rioja producers. It’s made from the estate’s youngest vines, which are still around 25 years old, and unlike more ambitious Riojas, it is not aged in oak, which leaves it fresh, fruity and immediately accessible. It’s a balanced, refreshing expression of tempranillo from a good Rioja terroir."

"The bright and fruit-driven 2018 Señorío de P. Peciña Cosecha Tinto is more than your average unoaked red Rioja. It has some depth and complexity, a clean profile and a lively palate with bright acidity that lifts it up and makes it long and tasty. A brilliant young Rioja offered at a great price."
