Vineyard Notes: Grapes are sourced from a single 15-acre vineyard in the Los Chacayes IG in the Uco Valley. The sustainably-farmed vineyard was planted in 2012 at 3600 feet above sea level and is comprised mainly of calcareous river stones.

Winemaking Notes: Wine is aged for 12 months, some sur-lie in concrete cubes and the rest under flor veil in barrel with indigenous yeast. 100% whole cluster stem inclusion.

Tasting Notes: The nose is jumping out of the glass with notes of orange peel, apricot, candied peach, and tangerine all woven together with white flowers, lavender, and a touch of coriander. The palate shows good acidity to match the full body and finishes with honeydew melon and just a hint of flor.

    Rating: 92 (10/31/2019)

The golden-colored 2017 Geisha de Jade is a 50/50 blend of Roussanne and Marsanne fermented together with stems and skins and everything for 35 days. Some 10% of the volume matured under a veil of flor yeasts for 11 months. All this gives the wine a completely different character; it's a little austere and closed at first but with an explosive palate with pungent flavors and the texture of a light red. All of these wines are great with food, and this is no exception. The nose slowly opens up and reveals great complexity and nuance, with notes of pollen, spices, yellow plums, curry... This is simply delicious.
