Terroir: San Martin de Valdeiglesias lies at the northwestern corner of the Viños de Madrid appellation. Located at a high elevation, with deep sandy soils, it produces wines unlike anything else in the Madrid region. Fruit for Vina Bonita is sourced from a single south-facing vineyard with extremely shallow, sandy soil.

Winemaking Notes: No filtration or fining. 25-60 day maceration. Minimal usage of new oak. Fruit yields bright, intensely aromatic wines. Aging in oak 225L barrels, with no more than 25% new.

Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine 2012

"Color: bright cherry. Nose: expressive, scrubland, ripe fruit, red berry notes, sweet spices. Palate: flavorful, fruity, fresh, fleshy."

"(all garnacha, aged in small French oak barrels, 25% of them new):  Bright ruby.  Sexy black raspberry and floral pastille aromas and flavors display a suave blend of richness and energy.  Round and fleshy, with sweet red berry preserve flavors, silky tannins and lively mineral lift.  Leaves exotic floral and spice notes behind on the strikingly pure, sappy finish."
