Winemaking Notes: Harvest is manual. The must ferments in clay amphorae and ages in stainless steel tanks for about 3 months to preserve its young and fresh profile. The Verdejo is bottled unfiltered without sulfites.

Tasting Notes: Light-boded, and meant to drink fast! Not too fruity actually, super easy going.

About the Label: The wines of Rueda have often been referred to as piña colada due to their tropical taste resulting from the use of the same commercial yeast strains in the region. Ismael Gozalo, on the other hand, is the anti-Rueda regardless of being located in Rueda. He is a citizen of the independent republic of Verdejo where his super old, ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines are king. For those looking for piña colada, all we can offer is the label.
