Vineyard Notes: Grapes are sourced from Zorzal's 2 acre estate vineyard, in the high-elevation Gualtallary subregion. The vineyard was planted in 2016 and is currently farmed organically, though they are moving towards more biodynamic practices. Soils are sandy mixed with limestone and granite.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are harvested by hand. A 10 day natural fermentation is followed by 20 days on the skins. Wine is aged for 9 months in neutral French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: The nose is lifted and layered with dark fruits of plum and cassis wrapped in cinnamon bark and crushed dry leaves. A little bit like a mixed berry fruit rollup, this wine has leather qualities and density with hints of nutmeg, hazelnut, and cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. Well integrated tannins lead to a rich, smooth finish.

"(Platinum) Restrained, elegant and perfumed, with beautiful aromatics of red pepper, a herbal lift, pure red fruit and a gorgeous floral note. Palate graced with plush, concentrated fruit, supple, silky tannins and pretty, fresh acidity. Very good aging potential."

A new release, this Cabernet Franc was aged for nine months in used barrels. Fruity on the nose, with red currant, cherry and herbal notes. Constrained but juicy on the palate; the feel is electric, as the sugary freshness and chalky tannins vie for supremacy. Very interesting.
