Winemaking Notes: The Albillo and Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) are whole-cluster direct pressed together as a field blend. Ribera del Duero historically vinified field blends, so Bertrand Sourdais is keeping with that tradition. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks for 21 days. The lees are allowed to settle, and then the wine is racked off the lees to create tension on the palate.

Vintage Notes: 2018 was a cool year in the Ribera del Duero while 2017 saw widespread drought and heatwaves. Yields in 2018 were generous, and the wines show freshness and elegance.

Tasting Notes: Roselito is a rosé wine meant to age. There is tension on the palate; it is refreshing and acidic. The nose displays subtle flowers along with herbs and vegetal fragrances. Made from old vines, some more than 100 years old, this rosé will pair nicely with lighter foods.

Pale orange. Fresh red berries and orange zest on the nose, along with hints of candied rose and dusty minerals. Juicy, focused and light on its feet, showing silky texture and fresh raspberry and tangerine flavors. Finishes long and smooth, with repeating florality and a late touch of spicy white pepper.
