Montrose Rosé is the emblematic wine of the Coste family.
Winemaking Notes: Each grape variety and each terroir are vinified separately. Grapes are harvested at night to preserve their freshness. They are destemmed and macerate for a short time. Fermentation temperature is maintained between 59 degrees Fahrenheit and 64 degrees Fahrenheit to retain fruit aromas. After fermentation, the resulting wines from the different terroirs and grape varieties are blended and aged in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes: This wine exhibits red berries and citrus flavors on the nose and palate. It is an elegant rosé combining roundness and freshness. Enjoy the Montrose Rosé chilled on its own or paired with grilled fish, grilled meat, and salads.
Summer Loving: 17 Rosés to Drink by Joseph Hernandez for Chicago Tribune 5/31
"The signature bottle from Domaine Montrose, a family estate that has operated in southern France since the 18th century, this rosé is a quaffable blend of grenache, cabernet sauvignon and syrah. If Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in “La La Land” were a wine, this would be it: a kicky little number with friendly overtones (peach and berries), but with a peppery finish and lingering acidity."
