Save the Date! Small Batch 2007

Save the Date for 2007's most exciting portfolio tasting in Chicago.  Cream Wine Company wants you to save Wednesday April 18th from 11-3pm for the American Small Batch Portfolio Tasting.  When we started Cream in October 2001, one of our goals was to offer a solid and balanced portfolio of dynamic American artisan winemakers whose emphasis is quality rather than quantity.  This American Small Batch Portfolio Tasting has become our calling card.  This tasting is the culmination and ultimate showcase of our fine collection and is recognized by the trade as one of the Midwest's premier fine wine events.  Over 35 winemakers and proprietors from Washington, Oregon and California will be there with their wonderful new and current releases.  There will be special pricing for those in attendance, so mark your calenders!  A formal invitation follows in the next few weeks with location and details.   If you have any questions please call Cream 312.421.1900 or your sales rep.  Click here for the save the date card.

Palacios Corullon Bierzo paired in Food & Wine

December 2006 issue of Food & Wine features Spanish chef Jose Andres's Christmas menu (p.177). Perfectly paired with his Pork Roast with Sausages, Fruit & Nut stuffing is the 2003 Descendientes de J. Palacios Corullon Bierzo.  Here is what they say about the wine:  "Wines from Bierzo in northwestern Spain are suddenly hot.  Those produced from the local Mencia grape are full of bright red fruit, with a firm acidity and great minerality that make them very food-friendly…the 2003 Descendientes de J. Palacios Corullon Bierzo…has a subtle touch of oak that rounds out the fruit and adds structure - perfect for this sausage-stuffed pork".  This wine is on order to arrive soon.
